When you become a member of Community Television of Santa Cruz County you join a network of individuals and organizations dedicated to fostering free speech through television and other electronic media.
Above all else, being a member of CTV means supporting the ideals that community access television stands for here in Santa Cruz County. It allows residents to become an active part of the local community, and to see the world from a local perspective.
Membership at any level gives you the opportunity to participate in the governance of the station (i.e. eligibility to vote for Directors of the Board, and to run for a position on the Board).
Many of our members are active producers who utilize our production resources, but many are not. Membership is open to all residents of Santa Cruz County, regardless of whether you intend to produce programming.
To become a member, or renew your membership, just download the membership application by clicking here. Fill out the form, sign it and return it to Community Television. There are two ways you can pay for membership. Either send payment along with your application, or use a credit card (or PayPal account) to pay online now. Please note: If paying online, you still need to send in an application for your membership to be complete. You must be a resident of Santa Cruz County to join.
If you intend to take classes and use Community Television equipment and facilities to produce programming, you need to attend a one hour Orientation. At the orientation you will learn about classes and how to take advantage of the production resources we provide. A short tour of the facility is included. Orientation is not required for members who do not intend to produce programs using our equipment.
Membership Levels and Benefits
Individuals:
Supporting Viewer ($15): Opportunity to participate in the governance of Community Television and support the mission of CTV. Subscription to the monthly CTV newsletter and a copy of the Annual Report.
Producer ($25): All the benefits listed above plus eligibility to take classes and use the facilities and equipment of Community Television.
Student (with valid student ID) ($20): All the benefits listed above.
Individuals and non-profit organizations:
Friend ($50): All the benefits listed above, plus a thank you gift and acknowledgment in CTV’s Annual Report.
Donor ($100): All the benefits listed above, plus a Community Television T-shirt.
Founder ($250): All the benefits listed above, plus a televised acknowledgment made on your behalf (or for the charity or group of your choice), an additional thank you gift and a complimentary lunch with the Executive Director or Board member of your choice.
Sponsor ($500): All the benefits listed above, plus a free public service announcement (for the charity or group of your choice) that will be televised regularly on our channels.
Patron ($1,000): All the benefits listed above, plus a wall plaque at the facility with your name on it and sponsorship of an hour of prime-time programming.

If you intend to become an active producer, you'll need to sign up for the free orientation. Check the class schedule for the next orientation date. To sign up, call 831-425-8848. If you are not going to be taking classes or utilizing our production facilities then the orientation is not required. Simply download the membership application and return with payment.
