On Wednesday, September 24 at 10:00 AM, Congresswoman Matsui will be holding a forum in Sacramento on net neutrality. Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Commissioners Mignon Clyburn and Jessica Rosenworcel will travel to Sacramento to participate in the forum, where a panel of local and California witnesses will testify on the implications of the net neutrality proposal put forward by FCC Chairman Tom Wheeler. This forum will be part of the House Energy and Commerce Committee minority record.
There will be five witnesses testifying at the Sacramento forum, each bringing a unique perspective to the implications of the net neutrality proposal put forth by FCC Chairman Tom Wheeler. Witnesses include Commissioner Catherine J.K. Sandoval of the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC); Chris Kelly, founder of Kelly Investments, former chief privacy officer & general counsel, Facebook, and minority owner of the Sacramento Kings; Rivkah Sass, Director of the Sacramento Public Library; David Lowe, an Emmy award winning executive producer and president of KVIE Public Television Sacramento; and, Melissa Rosenberg, a screenwriter whose work includes all five screenplays for The Twilight Saga and the Emmy-nominated Showtime original series Dexter.
